Meet Our Leadership
Kyle Schafer
Sales Manager, Commercial Estimator, Co- Owner
Kyle grew up around garage doors with his dad, and worked at ABC Door through high school. Kyle met Martha Mae while out of state for college, and married her in 2009. They now have three boisterous boys, and one just-as joyful girl.
Kyle returned to New Mexico in 2018 to take on the commercial estimating role at ABC Door. He enjoys learning about the numerous projects happening around the state, and developing ongoing relationships with contractors, architects, and owners. He has also taken on the role of sales manager, and relishes learning something new every day.
When not at work Kyle is heavily involved at his local church, coaching soccer, playing ultimate frisbee, and attempting to complete fine furniture projects at home.
Nathan Schafer
President, General Manager, and Co-Owner
Growing up in the East Mountains, Nathan worked in the family business as a technician during high school. He attended college at Trinidad State Junior College and received an AAS in Gunsmithing. That career took him to Minnesota where he worked as a gunsmith for 11 years.
Nathan returned to New Mexico to rejoin ABC Door. In 2024 he and his brother Kyle began the succession process to take over ownership of the business from their father, Tom.
Married to his high-school sweetheart Whitney since 2009, they have 3 wonderful children. The whole family is very involved in their church, doing work projects and leading in the youth program. They all love the outdoors and traveling around our beautiful country.
